In every home there is a choice of sitting rooms and lounge areas and far removed from the traditional image of some nursing homes there is room for the pursuit of one's own interests, or for involvement in small group social activities. For those who would like to join more formalised group activities, these are organised by a recreational therapist team and are carefully planned to stimulate both physical and mental activity to meet individual needs. Underlining the belief in maximum patient choice, residents are encouraged to choose their own medical practitioner and a wide range of specialists who regularly visit each home, including physiotherapists, chiropodists, opticians, dentists, speech therapists, hairdressers and other experts. Our overall aim is to allow residents to face the future happily and securely, living as they choose, with the assistance and facilities they require. In essence, to meet all the residents' needs via a future based on dignity, individual choice and personal freedom.
